The Circus in Summer
So when did I join the circus? That’s what I have been asking myself as I practice skills such as juggling more and more in my day to day life. Right when I thought I had the hang of the whole “juggling” thing, someone tosses me another ball or two. Then someone comes up and says “Hey, you are getting pretty good at that. I think you should try your hand at fire juggling.” And they light all of balls on fire… better not drop one now. Lately, I have been blessed with some amazing opportunities in regards to my career. In addition to being trained as an editor with B.L.O.G Magazine, I am a contributing writer with EQM (Equality in Me) Magazine and a summer intern for NUVO, a local alternative magazine. This is in addition to working as a freelance writer for CSI Ministries, working a temporary full time job as a test grader, and working part time at American Eagle Outfitters. I am excited to get more experience in my chosen field, but sometimes I’m like “Man, my hands are getting pretty tired and that fire is HOT” and I wonder when I’ll find a full time job and this juggling routine will be over. Indiana only has lovely warm weather for a tiny portion of the year, and I want to have time to enjoy my summer. I know I am not the only person who has felt this way. Everyday life can feel like a circus sometimes, but sometimes you have to balance – and juggle- on the way to achieving your purpose. It’s important to know your limits. It’s okay to set some of what you are jugging aside if it gets to be too much. However, some people face unique situations and have things on their plate that they are not in the position to put aside. In the mist of the circus that it life, it’s important for believes to remember their ultimate source of strength. God promises to give rest to the weary. Matthew 11:28-30 says “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. “For my yoke is easy, and my load is light.” In other words, when we giving our burdens to Jesus and spend time with Him, He will give rest to our souls. Can you imagine what that would feel like? In the mist of lions and tigers, trumpets and crowds, in the mist of leaping trapeze artist and creepy clowns there can be peace. In the mist of any circumstance, there can be rest. While following your dreams to the end of the earth, and juggling your time between various commitments, don’t forget to find rest in the one who gives you life and put spending time seeking Him on the top of your to-do list.

“If a clock could count down to the moment you meet your soul mate, would you want to know?”
lol yes, so then i can shave.
Has anyone written a book about this yet? I think it’d be interesting!!!!!!
One minute, 37 seconds.
My legs are shaking. Holy cow, there is no way I can do this. None.
One minute, 29 secods.
I glance around at the faces surrounding the room. Of course my Meeting would take place in the gross, overcrowded cafeteria.
One minute, six seconds.
Somewhere within these four walls, someone has the exact same countdown on their wrist. They’re going through the exact same pressure as me.
54 seconds.
Mom said I should be excited, not nervous. Yet I still find myself wiping my sweaty palms on my dress. I can’t believe she talked me into wearing a dress. I mean, shouldn’t my Soul Mate meet me as I normally am? All plain jeans, blah shirts, and wild brown curls?
30 seconds.
Something deep within me tells me to stand up. I do, drawing the attention of my tablemates. They all know too. They smile encouragingly up at me. I chew my lip nervously.
25 seconds.
That same feeling pulls me towards the center of the room. My stomach drops away from me as I take a step in that direction.
20 seconds.
I continue in that direction. With each step the tempo of my heart picks up.
19. Faster.
18. Quicker.
17. More rapid.
16. It’s racing.
Oh my god this is it. The moment my life changes forever.
My eyes search frantically around the cafeteria, searching for someone who looks as nervous as me. For someone who’s heading towards their future with no sense of direction like me.
10 seconds.
The feeling directs me slightly to the left. I turn to accomodate.
5. My heart has given up entirely.
4. I stop walking.
3. Just waiting left.
2. Everything is about to change.
1. Deep breath.0000 d 00 h 00 m 00 s
Someone bumps my shoulder. I twirl around and my gray eyes meet blue, blue ones.
“Hello there, love. It appears as though we’re Soul Mates then, eh?”
As my words fail me, the only thing I can think is “I’m so glad I shaved this morning.”^^^ THIS IS AMAZING
i think youre gonna write the book i nominate you you have no choice go get writing now
What if you meet someone whose countdown ran the same as yours? Would you risk it and stay with them, guaranteeing that you are soulmates?
This is from the movie Timer. I watched it on netflix a long time ago.

The Best April Fools’ Prank (That I Shall Ever Do)
Once upon a time, I decided that it was my solemn obligation to prank my friends before we graduated.

So…I made Hogwarts Acceptance letters. A lot of them. Because who isn’t still waiting for their freaking letter to arrive?

My hand hated me so much. Also, cursive G is the worst.

Letters were posted. All was well.
Until this happened…

What the-?

WHEN THE DAY MET THE NIGHT ll PANIC! AT THE DISCO
Goodbye snow, rain, and cold. The sun has graced us with it’s presence once more, and I think its time to find my tank tops and shorts. I feel summer creeping back up on us.

I made this video just because I need more multimedia editing experience, and I thought the topic was interesting. It is about job-hunting as a person with a disability. I have little video editing experience, but this is a good little practice project.
My thoughts:
1. I need a tri-pod…
2. My Nikon CoolPix actually has pretty nice video quality.
3. But that audio…
4. What is that flashing white light between the clips and why can’t I edit it away?
5. Oh, let me try to add a black fade effect to cover it up.
6. Nope did not help…
7. It’s still not super horrible for an ammeter.
8. Lets add my name to the end.
9. I created something!

Also… was on a boat today.
